SIYAKRITI's POV Standing here, at the place which is no less than your hometown feels surreal, it has always felt the same. May be because of my and my parents' attachment to the place or the general air of spirituality of the sangam. Sangam, one of the five, the purest and most divine. Where rivers so different, either in origin or nature becomes one and form Ganga. Alakhnanda like a storm and Bhagirathi like a calm after storm, fuse to become one, the holy Gangus Many years ago when my father came to Devprayag for some work met my mother who was here to volunteer a food campaign for malnourished kids. Papa always told me how he fell in love with mumma and how he saw her for the first time here itself. My mother believed it was all destiny because meeting at the place which itself is called sangam couldn't be mere coincidence. I come here every year not in the delusion of finding my own destiny but in the hope of finding my own roots where I can grow relying on something... or someone.
